about

First single from debut EP 'In the Course of Love', to be released 2017.

lyrics

All night long, they’re soaking cherries in rum
Stacked in jars, leave in the cupboard for a month
Glasses clink, still laughing after 40 years
Hard to think, as we sit next door in our stink
Frank, Dean and Bing, through the walls we heard them sing

Our Christmas talk, of what the year had brought
As silent nights turned into weeks and months of spite
Nicks appearing on your skin, the rust had truly settled in

Are we calling time? Shall we die on the vine?
Keeping distance between, what is said and left implied
Words are blunt, but silence rings
And lays everywhere in our things

An endless start, we sat for years around the mark
Now I want you more, I want you even more than I thought
But when you come by, it feels like it's been years every time
I fill my fork, with every pregnant pause
Lying to our friends, is where it starts…it doesn’t end

Are we calling time, shall we die on the vine?
Just keeping distance between, what is said and left implied
Words are blunt, but silence rings
And lays everywhere in our things
